Serdang, April 6th - The UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) has a new Director appointed effective April 1, 2024. The three-year appointment fills the position vacated by Associate Professor Dr. Arba’ie Sujud, who retired on August 23, 2023.
Associate Professor Dr. Aqlima Ahmad is the second female ARCUPM Director, succeeding Dr. Rohani Ibrahim, who began in 1999. Dato' Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Sadullah, UPM Vice-Chancellor, officiated the appointment ceremony at the Rashdan Baba Auditorium in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), which also included other appointments to the Service Centre and College Principals at the Serdang and Bintulu campus.
According to Dr. Aqlima, she is ready to shoulder the responsibilities and duties given to her to further strengthen the relationship between alma mater and UPM alumni. She added that the successful initiatives pursued previously will continue, with additional enhancements to bring more success and glory to ARCUPM and UPM.
ARCUPM welcomes Associate Professor Dr. Aqlima Ahmad and looks forward to working together to further bolster previous achievements and successes. The entire ARCUPM team also extends immense gratitude and high appreciation to the previous director, who helped establish ARCUPM as one of the best service centers at UPM.
