Serdang, Jan 12th - Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) continued the Read@Uni Knowledge Sharing "Cinta Pada Ilmu" activity at ARCUPM's Laman Al-Falah.

Read@Uni activity is the first in the series for 2024 which the first session was delivered by Mr. Amirul Hakimi bin Juara, ARCUPM industrial trainee. Mr. Amirul shared a story about Prophet Sulaiman (Nabi Sulaiman AS) and the Termites. A snippet from Amirul's sharing: "From the story I shared and my personal opinion, I was amazed by the narrative about Prophet Sulaiman (Nabi Sulaiman AS) and the power given to him to control termites and jinns. It's one of the fascinating aspects of Islamic history. This story demonstrates the great wisdom and authority that Allah S.W.T bestowed upon the prophet. In the Quran, we are told that Prophet Sulaiman had the power to communicate with these creatures, organize and direct them to perform specific tasks. This narration also emphasizes the belief in divine miracles and powers that go beyond human understanding. Through this story, Muslims are taught to trust in Allah SWT and follow His commandments while respecting the powers granted to the prophets. It also reminds us of the importance of tawakal (relying entirely on Allah) in everyday life and the need to use power and wisdom justly and wisely."

This knowledge-sharing series is a positive step towards fostering a culture of reading and further sharing it among ARCUPM staff, providing access to the entire UPM community to benefit from this space.

The main goal of creating this open space is to offer benefits to the surrounding community, especially students. This is also one of ARCUPM's efforts to cultivate the culture of spending leisure time reading by providing a comfortable place that feels like 'home' to read and engage in other activities.
