8 March 2018- Alumni Centre hosted Townhall Session Alumni Industry: Series IV to celebrate and strengthen strategic networking between UPM alumni industry and Alma mater. The programme started at 2.30 p.m. with a welcoming speech by the Prof. Datin Paduka Dato’ Dr. Aini Ideris, UPM Vice-Chancellor. This was followed by a forum with the theme “Aspirasi Alumni, Inspirasi Kejayaan”  by three panellists; Dato’ Haji Haris Embong, Managing Director, Arisprop Holdings Sdn. Bhd., (Alumni Class 2000); Dr. Lim Ban Keong; Managing Director, Rhone Ma Holdings Berhad (Alumni Class 1997) and Mr. Zainudin bin Kamaruddin, Founder, KZ Empire Group (Alumni Class 2005). The forum was moderated by Mrs. Noorizai Mohd. Noor, Head of  Quality Management, Centre for Quality Assurance, (Alumni Class 1994) highlighted three core areas; memories during student’s time, roles of alumni and the aspiration of alumni.

The programme was also to ensure that alumni members will continue contributing towards the university and remains close to each other as well as their alma mater. This corresponds with the UPM’s mission for alumni members to contribute to their alma mater by giving good ideas and making a financial contribution. Thus, financial contributions by alumni members proved the presence of a robust alumni community with the desire to assist in the development of university education. It was truly an enjoyable and memorable occasion to the 250 guests who attended the programme.
