DATO SOH POH SHENG "GIVING OPEN THE WAY TO RECEIVING"

Dato’ Soh Poh Sheng received his Diploma in Agriculture (1976) and Bachelor of Science (Agriculture, 1980) from Kolej Pertanian Malaya. He then joined the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA). After several years of experience in the public services, Dato’ Soh decided that it was time to join the family business.

“I want to bring my family business to the highest level with the outcome that I can be proud of that is to see Samsoney Group of Companies successfully expanded its business both domestically and abroad. Currently, my focus is to further drive the success of Samsoney Group of Companies globally". He admitted in an effort to bring success to the company, he had to overcome many challenges and obstacles such as business competition, but he acknowledged that those challenges made him more focused in strategizing and designing the direction of the company to be relevant to the current market economy.

Friends of Dato’ Soh recognise his lofty and gracious personality. The philanthropy in him made him a man who is respected by friend and foe. Dato’ Soh believe that in life one should be benevolent, as in the saying ‘that the more you give, the more you get in return’. With that in mind, it was surprising that Dato’ Soh Poh Sheng was pleased to donate RM1 million to the UPM Endowment Trust Fund through Soh Kim Mee Scholarship.
